WHO WE ARE
The Satanic Temple – Minnesota is local congregation of non-theistic Satanists based in the state of Minnesota, founded in October 2016. We are an affiliated congregation with The Satanic Temple (TST), a non-theistic Satanic religious organization and IRS recognized church. Our mission is to support, encourage, and promote participation in the campaigns of The Satanic Temple and provide a safe and welcoming community for our congregants.
TST MN seeks to encourage benevolence and empathy among all people, reject tyrannical authority, and advocate practical common sense and justice.
TST MN hosts monthly meetings, socials, events, as well as participate in good works.

OUR HISTORY
What would become The Satanic Temple – Minnesota Congregation (TST MN) was founded in mid October 2016 as Friends of the Satanic Temple Twin Cities – eventually shortened to Satanic Twin Cities – by Ash Phenex. In 2018, The Satanic Temple – Minnesota became an official TST chapter serving the state of Minnesota with Ash Phenex and Asmodeus Sion leading the charge as TST MN’s first ever and still serving chapter heads. Our first action as a chapter? TST participated in the global “Grey Mass”, participating with other chapters and TST’s Grey Faction in a massive virtual ritual to raise awareness against pseudoscience in the mental health field.
Since then TST MN has been busy for the past five years hosting charity events, monthly meetings and socials, attending Twin Cities PRIDE each year, and both live and virtual rituals. We made it through COVID-19 as a community and supported one another during the ongoing and continuing struggles of the pandemic.
And our membership have reached far beyond Minnesota, and have been seen attending the Religious Reproductive Rights Rally in Salt Lake City, UT, at SatanCon in Scottsdale, AZ, and proudly serving in TST’s Society of Congregations in various positions and committees! TST MN also has five active Ministers of Satan currently serving on our State Council.
Our mission is to continue contributing to our communities through campaigns and drives while also celebrating our shared beliefs with each other and those who wish to celebrate with us. We are a community of like-minded individuals working toward bettering ourselves and making our community a safe haven for all.
THE SEVEN FUNDAMENTAL TENETS
OF THE SATANIC TEMPLE
I
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one’s own.
V
Beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs.
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one’s best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
