This FAQ is specific to TST MN.
Who are you?
We are the Minnesota congregation of The Satanic Temple (TST), a nontheistic Satanic religious organization and IRS-recognized church. We are currently the only official TST congregation in Minnesota and serve the entire state. We do accept members from nearby states that currently do not have active congregations or candidate groups. Contact us for more information.
What do you believe?
We are nontheistic Satanists. We do not worship the devil in any incarnation. We do not believe in supernatural entities. The Satanic Temple believes that religion can, and should, be divorced from superstition. As such, we do not promote belief in a personal Satan.
So you're just activists?
We are a religions organization for nontheistic Satanists who live in accordance with the Seven Tenets. TST is very much a denomination of modern Satanism. We are a religious organization first and foremost. Any community engagement and mission specific activism are merely components of what we do and are the result of our deeply held religious beliefs. TST is not a social justice organization or a catch-all activist group. Any community work or activism in which we might engage must be directly related to our tenets, TST’s mission, and our religious identity.
What does TST MN do?
Our congregation does not hold weekly services.
TST MN has monthly meetings, socials, and other events including; book clubs, craft nights, and more. We also engage in different forms of activism; Menstruatin’ With Satan, Diapers for the ‘Lil Devils, Blood 4 Satan, and more. TST MN also supports the main TST organization in ongoing events.
Our goal locally is to build a strong, safe, and welcoming community of like-minded individuals.
Where can I find TST MN?
TST MN does not have a physical location to visit.
TST MN operates within the entire state of Minnesota and is the only official TST affliated congregation in the state. At this time we are based primarily in the Twin Cities area. We understand that many may live far from the cities. Regional expansion is to be expected, though may take some time. If you want to help us expand to an area near you, please contact us!
Is there and age restriction for joining TST MN?
TST MN requires all congregation members to be 18+.
Can you help me with a school project?
At this time, TST MN does not participate in assisting students with their courses.
There are many resources available to learn more about modern Satanism to which we are more than willing to direct you towards. We believe that self-education is important and will assist individuals in conducting their own research.
Can TST MN help me with a specific cause?
Unfortunately, TST MN is not always equipped to help, nor is it appropriate for us to help solve all injustices that happen across our state. While many worthwhile causes exist, it may very well be that other organizations are better equipped to handle them.
However, if you do have a Minnesota centric cause that relates to our Satanic practice or our membership directly, feel free to contact us and we can consider your case.
Do you officiate marriages?
TST MN can and does! We are proud to say that we have multiple Ministers of Satan ordained through TST’s Satanic Ministery that are able to perform marital rites statewide.
How do I join TST MN?
Check us out on our official forums.
TST MN is organized with official members as well as non-official members and allies. Becoming an official member involves remaining active within TST MN, followed by an application and subsiquent interview. Official members get a few perks as well!
